Material Handling Diesel​/General Maintenance Mechanic Logansport Plant

Overview

• Diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets.
• Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks associated with maintenance, troubleshooting, HVAC, motor repairs, welding, machine repair and modification to the plant’s mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing systems and equipment.
• Communicate well with others, comprehend training material and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience in HVAC, motor repairs, welding, machine repair, or related fields is preferred.
• Must be able to work in any area/dept. Assigned either in a cold, damp, or hot and humid environment.
• Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas.
• Successful completion of Lockout/Tagout and Fall Arrest/Prevention training, as well as all Maintenance Training Levels.

Maintenance crews may run 6 days a week, including shifts on Sundays and some major holidays when necessary. Shift: A Shift (United States of America).
