Medical Lab Technician

AAC is seeking a certified Medical Technologist (MLS/MT) with experience in DNA extraction, chromosomal microarray (CMA), and next-generation sequencing (NGS) to support high-complexity genetic testing in a clinical laboratory setting.

• Perform DNA extraction, quantification, and quality assessment; document all work per SOPs.
• Support genetics workflows: CMA sample prep/QC, array processing, scanner/run documentation.
• NGS: library preparation, pooling, run setup/monitoring, run documentation.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; escalate issues as needed.
• Complete and document QC checks; participate in quality activities as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records/specimen tracking and compliance documentation.
• Follow HIPAA, safety, and confidentiality requirements.

• Meets CLIA high-complexity testing personnel requirements.
• 1+ year clinical lab experience preferred; molecular/genetics experience preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with CMA and/or NGS in a clinical setting.
• Familiarity with LIMS and inspection readiness (CLIA/CAP culture).
• MLS(ASCP) / MT(ASCP) (or equivalent certification) required.

Work is performed in an office environment. Willingness to work some weekends and travel occasionally.
