Job SummaryThe Project Manager Senior-Construction manages the design and construction for complex and high exposure projects for all LLU and LLUSS associated facilities. They prepare and maintain project records and information—including contracts, budgets, schedules, purchase orders, requisitions, meeting minutes, and project correspondence—keep Administration updated on costs and progress, assist with special projects for the Department Head, ensure construction conforms to project documents, coordinate construction to proceed smoothly with institutional operations, and perform other duties as needed.
Responsibilities- Manage the design and construction of complex and high exposure projects for all LLU and LLUSS associated facilities.
- Prepare and maintain project records and information including contracts, budgets, schedules, purchase orders, requisitions, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
- Keep Administration updated on costs and progress on projects and assist with special projects for the Department Head.
- Ensure construction conforms to project documents and is coordinated to proceed smoothly with other institutional operations.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, or an applicable technical area, required. An additional three years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum four years of college‑level technical education and five years of construction supervision or equivalent experience are required.
Knowledge and SkillsAble to read and understand blueprints and computer‑generated documents; read, write, speak with professional quality; use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and basic office equipment. Able to use small hand tools, relate and communicate positively and professionally with others, provide leadership, enforce policies consistently, remain calm and courteous under pressure, supervise and teach, work independently, perform basic math and statistical functions, manage multiple assignments, prioritize workload, and pay close attention to detail.
Able to distinguish colors, hear sufficiently for conversation, and see adequately to read computer screens and documents.
Valid driver’s license required at time of hire.
