Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a Histology Technologist to support the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System located at 11201 Benton St, Loma Linda, CA 92357. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility. Exceptional compensation packages with full benefits are available.

• Stain slides via routine stains, immunostains, and special stains
• Prepare a wide variety of special stained slides requiring many complex and delicate processes
• Perform a variety of extremely difficult, delicate, and complex tissue tests
• Perform sectioning of tissue with the use of a clinical microtome
• Perform routine and multiple staining of tissue sections including careful timing and counter staining
• Perform cover slipping of slides and prepare tissue for electron microscopic study
• Label slides for final microscopic examination
• Perform administrative tasks related to the position such as maintaining records, receiving patient specimens, labeling slides and answering telephone inquiries
• Perform other duties as assigned relating to the responsibilities of a Histology Technologist

• Bachelor-level degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution
• ASCP professional certification or equivalent nationally‑recognized Histology Technologist certification or categorical certification in histopathology
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years (2‑3 years in an acute care setting is preferred)
• Experience in U.S. Government facilities preferred
• No sponsorship available

$28.06 - $52.00 hourly

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
