Position: IS Architect 1
Shared Services:
Technical Services - (Full-Time, Day Shift)

Job Summary: The Architect 1 is responsible for providing business/technical knowledge and expertise in processes, solutions, integration, data migration, and custom development. Leads envisioning, architecture, and design discussions to address business needs. Collaborates with other IS departments. Develops strategies, policies, and best practices. Designs, develops, and articulates solutions based on customer requirements. Ensures the delivery of solutions including technical architecture, business strategies, and quality assurance.

Works with Project and Program Managers on technical content in the Statement of Work. Services may be provided for LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required;
Master's preferred. Experience may substitute for degree. At least four years of experience meeting healthcare business or technical needs. At least one year of healthcare industry experience across the continuum of care in an integrated delivery system.

Knowledge and

Skills:

Strong background in routing, switching, server and storage management, application presentation, scripting, data architecture. Experience in diverse system and technical/application design in large enterprise environments. Knowledge of system requirements definition processes, modeling tools, SOA, application integration patterns, UML, Agile, LEAN, and Six Sigma. Ability to interpret and create technical plans, schematics, and articles. Conceptual work with probability and statistical inference.

Up-to-date with IT trends and applications. Proficient in English, computer use, and software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Access. Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to analyze data and needs, manage multiple tasks, and work independently. Must be able to distinguish colors and hear sufficiently for communication.

Licensures and

Certifications:

Valid California Driver License required. Certification in primary EPIC application required within assigned Epic applications.
