We support seniors and individuals in need through the Illinois Department on Aging Community Care Program (CCP) and private duty services. The On-Call Runner provides vital after-hours operational support to ensure smooth service delivery for clients and caregivers. This role responds to urgent requests, delivers essential items, conducts wellness checks, and supports the agency with time-sensitive tasks that occur outside normal business hours.

• Respond promptly to after-hours calls or requests made by the on-call supervisor or operations team.
• Deliver PPE, timesheets, forms, or other required items to clients and caregivers.
• Assist during caregiver call-offs by performing quick on-site checks, confirming client safety, or helping coordinate backup coverage.
• Conduct wellness checks or field visits when directed by management.
• Provide emergency transportation support to caregivers if approved.
• Document all completed tasks with accurate details and time logs.
• Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, and Safe Life Home Care staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all company policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond quickly and handle urgent or unexpected situations calmly.
• Dependable, responsible, and professional behavior.
• Previous home care or field experience preferred but not required.

• On-call during assigned weekday evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Must be able to respond to calls or messages within a short window.

• On-call shift pay.
• Additional pay per completed task or field visit.
• Mileage reimbursement as applicable.
• Flat Rate of $50/day plus hourly rate of $19-$22 for any field service to the client's home.
