Overview

The Operations Manager serves as the liaison between Transdev and the client, evaluating vehicle drivers, coaching teams, managing shift performance, ensuring compliance with processes and training, and driving continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: $94,000 – $106,000
  • Vacation: minimum two weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 6 days

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor to ensure efficient shift operation.
  • Drive special projects and program completion assigned by the Senior Operations Manager.
  • Attend client meetings representing the Senior Operations Manager or functional managers.
  • Communicate clearly with Transdev management and client stakeholders.
  • Support client operations leadership in dispatch management and stakeholder communication.
  • Participate in Lean/Kai Zen and other operational excellence initiatives.
  • Interpret metrics, identify opportunities, and implement actions to drive results.
  • Ensure compliance with global process standards and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct vehicle driver safety evaluations and manage performance‑based pay program.
  • Coordinate and supervise subordinate activities, reporting operational issues to management.
  • Maintain daily process operations including assignments, shift start, pre‑briefs, and debriefs.
  • Respond to service problems, outages, accidents, and incidents, and support accident reporting.
  • Assist passengers and investigate unsafe location/situation reports.
  • Develop program work plans, oversee daily operations, and set priorities.
  • Maintain confidential records and perform clerical support as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations leadership experience.
  • Preferred:
    Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of service area and ability to read maps.
  • Proficiency in computer use for reports and schedules.
  • Ability to supervise and make quality business decisions.
  • Understanding of system operating rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Response availability for 24/7 operations.
  • Flexible schedule with weekends, nights, and holidays; standing and walking up to 10 hours per shift.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods.
  • Use of hands and arms; occasional lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate indoor and damp environments.
  • Good vision and perception for focus and depth.
