, is currently seeking Machine Operators (2nd Shift, 3pm-11:30pm) to support our Alsip, IL corrugated manufacturing facility. Specific machine experience on one or more of the following machines is required: rotary, flatbed or clamshell die cutters, laminators, and/or folder gluers. The Machine Operator is responsible for all activities associated with running specific machines, including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommendation of improvements.

REQUIRED

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma (or GED) or higher.

PREFERRED

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the corrugated industry as a machine operator.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Specific machine experience on one or more of the following machines: rotary, flatbed or clamshell die cutters, laminators, and/or folder gluers.
• Knowledge of various paperboard stocks, board grade combinations, POP displays and printing processes.
• Strong team player;
  Quality and Safety conscious leader.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours or extended hours.
• Strong work ethic with emphasis on safety.

While performing the duties of this job:

• The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
