Position
Registered Nurse - Observation Unit
LocationElmhurst Main Hospital
HoursFull-time, 36 hours/week, 7am-7pm, rotating weekends and holidays
ResponsibilitiesThe Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care by planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. They collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
QualificationsRequires an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, Illinois RN license, and current CPR certification. Knowledge of EKG interpretation and NIHSS Stroke Scale certification are essential. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, surgical care experience, ACLS certification, and inpatient nursing experience.
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care across diverse populations
- Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care plans
- Utilize clinical skills to interpret EKGs and perform NIHSS assessments
Strong clinical knowledge, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
