Position: Executive Chef (4231)

Overview

Executive Chef (4231) – Ancho & Agave / Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano. This is a working Chef position with a focus on creating an exceptional culinary experience, strong leadership, and guest satisfaction in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities
  • Create exceptional culinary experiences for guests and oversee daily kitchen operations.
  • Interview and hire kitchen staff; supervise, train, and uphold standards for food preparation and plating.
  • Train and enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Schedule and direct kitchen facility and equipment maintenance; create work schedules.
  • Control operational costs, monitor inventory, and purchase supplies and food from approved vendors.
  • Appraise staff performance and foster a culture of development and teamwork.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
  • Current Food Safety and Sanitation certification.
  • Advanced culinary skills and strong knowledge of restaurant operations, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Clear verbal and written communication; ability to lead a diverse team.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop vendor relationships and manage procurement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and deliver on-time results.
  • Willingness to travel for management training (35-45 days) and to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Ability to work 45-55 hour weeks; must have good hygiene and grooming habits; reliable transportation; physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
