Essential Job Functions:

• Greet, engage, and assist customers visibly and actively.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, following company policy.
• Adhere to company limits on cash shortages/overages and work to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
• Ensure safety by following procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and reporting issues.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment, assisting customers and answering questions.
• Comply with all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
