The Business Territory Manager is the leader of the Business Account Representative Sales team. This role is responsible for developing a highly successful, productive sales team that exceeds company revenue expectations while maintaining a high level of customer service. The manager drives sales expectations, marketing initiatives, and ensures channel profitability throughout their region. This position requires a strong, organized, business‑focused leader with expert knowledge in the commercial security sales marketplace.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Adhere to current Everon policies, procedures, products, programs, and services.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement commercial sales functions and processes.
- Attain and strive to exceed budgeted revenue expectations.
- Maintain effective customer communications and build solid relationships throughout the account lifecycle.
- Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled while quickly resolving customer complaints regarding installation, service, or experience issues.
- Assure profitability of the channel is achieved.
- Build and retain an effective, productive, and motivated sales team.
- Set production goals, coach, and motivate the team to exceed budget expectations.
- Assign areas to sales representatives within their region.
- Measure the activities of each representative to guarantee results that conform with Everon guidelines.
- Continuously monitor sales growth versus budget expectations, sales plan targets, and market share growth.
- Implement and execute Everon’s business marketing strategies and plans.
- Work with other departments and business leaders to ensure integration of sales and operations.
- Develop sales opportunities targeting user segments.
- Provide training and education to the sales staff.
- Develop and implement key account strategic and tactical plans to increase account penetration and annual business.
College degree required.
Experience- Minimum of 5 years of commercial sales experience, including 3 years of successful field commercial sales management or a related sales management position.
- Experience analyzing sales statistics.
- Ability to read and interpret applicable documents, materials, policies, and procedures presented in English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with business leaders and customer organizations.
- Functional and technical skills in leading a sales organization.
- Excellent leadership skills with financial management abilities.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage others effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of approved commercial products and services.
- Fire alarm systems expertise.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of direct sales forecasting activities and performance goal setting.
- Customer focused and proven track record of building trust.
- Conflict management and resolution skills.
- Proven team building skills.
- Effective time management and project management skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as understanding margin guidelines and creating cost-plus quotes.
- Ability to read and interpret applicable documents, materials, policies, and procedures presented in English.
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
- Ability to work a full‑time schedule.
- Ability to travel nights and weekends as required by business needs.
The budgeted pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to tenure, previous experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic considerations.
