We are seeking a hands‑on working Project Foreman to lead and participate in firestop installation projects. This role combines active installation work with crew supervision, safety enforcement, and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on firestop installation tasks alongside the crew as a working foreman.
- Supervise installation crews, ensuring proper procedures, high‑quality workmanship, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage team performance, delegate tasks, and provide coaching and mentorship to crew members.
- Conduct on‑site assessments and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with building codes and NFPA standards.
- Coordinate daily tasks, schedules, and materials with internal teams.
- Monitor project progress, proactively resolve issues, and report updates to management.
- Lead toolbox talks, enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and management to ensure project requirements and safety standards are met.
- Train and mentor team members on installation techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Support process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety on‑site.
- Travel to multiple job sites as required, including overnight stays.
- Ensure crews have the necessary equipment, materials, and resources for successful project completion and safe operations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a foreman or lead on construction or fire protection projects.
- Proven experience with hands‑on installation of firestop systems.
- Strong team management and leadership skills, with experience coaching and mentoring crew members.
- Knowledge of firestop systems, building codes, and NFPA standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with the ability to enforce protocols and lead a safe work environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work overnight as required.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
