Seasonal Basketball Scorekeeper and Site Supervisor ()

This position is for the Basketball season beginning in December 2025 and ending in March 2026. Applicants can be hired for one or both positions if qualified. The Scorekeeper is responsible for keeping accurate score and game records for athletic contests. Knowledge of the rules of the game and scoring is helpful, but previous experience is not required. Must be attentive with the ability to focus for extended periods of time, despite distractions.

Must be able to operate a scoreboard and perform record keeping duties. The Site Supervisor will provide supervision during practices at various local school locations and serve as the primary source of information for on-site communication with participants, coaches, and parents. Will provide similar services on game days at Park District facilities and coordinate any issues or concerns with officials.

Also responsible for site inspections, reporting safety hazards or equipment malfunction, completing various reports and responding to emergency situations.

Evening and weekend shifts as assigned.

• Minimum age 16 years old (15 year olds considered for Scorekeeper with a Work Permit)
• High school graduate or GED preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, adults and assert yourself when needed
• Dependable and flexible with scheduling
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Customer service and safety focused, capacity to remain calm in difficult or emergency situations
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment (or ability to obtain)

• $15.00/hr pay rate
• Individual Annual Membership for the Madison Meadow Athletic Center (MMAC)
• Five (5) visits to the Lombard Golf Course initially and ten (10) visits after two years of service with the Park District
