Licensed Vocational Nurse Home Health (Lompoc) 45-50 per hr

Pay range: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Omega Home Health Care Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide care for homebound patients in Los Angeles County, Kern County, Santa Maria, Lompoc, San Luis Obispo, and surrounding areas.

• Provides skilled nursing care to clients as directed by the registered nurse and physician's plan of care in accordance with agency policies.
• Promotes and maintains client health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures under the guidance of the registered nurse who is assigned to the same case.
• Assists clients in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
• Helps to achieve and maintain continuity of client care by assisting in planning and exchanging information with other health professionals.
• Prepares clinical progress notes and follows client care plans as developed by the registered nurse and according to agency policy.
• Assists the physician and registered nurse in performing specialized procedures for which competency has been established.
• Prepares equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic technique as required.
• Keeps abreast of changes and trends affecting nursing care and licensed nurse functions.
• Attends client care conferences, communicates regularly with the registered nurse.
• Communicates current health status and needs of clients to appropriate health professionals.

• Flexible scheduling: you will schedule your visits with your patients.
• Required to work at least two days each week, one weekend day per month, and two holidays per year (one winter and one summer).
• Additional job availability accommodated if available days change each week.

• LVN License (required)
• Driver's License (required)
• Active BLS/ACLS/PALS certification
• Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
• Self-directed, able to work independently with little supervision while meeting performance metrics.
• Physical, mental strength and flexible work hours.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and web-based applications.
• At least 1 year of Home Health experience required.
