Commitment
: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Compensation: Annual compensation of $45,000–$50,000. Position is eligible for participation in the Diocese of London’s laystaff benefit and pension plans.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Coordinator ensures accurate and timely financial transactions in accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, general ledger; supports month-end, quarterly and year-end processes, while ensuring compliance with diocesan policies and applicable legislation.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, and variance analysis.
- Review parish financial statements, and ensure compliance with diocesan policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Provide accounting support to parishes as required.
- Process all incoming cheques, EFT’s, invoicing, and reconciling Accounts Receivable.
- Assist with Accounts Payable.
- Account reconciliation and analysis.
- Other dutiesas assigned by the Director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of a post‑secondary diploma in accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting position.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively multi‑task and meet deadlines.
- Full working knowledge of all aspects of accounting including the completion of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prior experience working with Sage Intacct is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related applications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, along with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate professionally by telephone, email, and in person.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to support the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of London.
A police record check as deemed suitable by the Diocese of London will be required of the successful candidate.
All new staff are required to complete on‑line mandatory training available in English or French. Basic computer and reading proficiency to successfully complete this education is required.
