You as a Senior Accountant will:

Perform accounting and internal reporting functions, including invoicing, monitoring and following up on outstanding receivables, and assisting with the purchases and payables accounting process

Ensure timely and accurate approval and processing of invoices for certain Ellis Don divisions

Support with A/R collection and perform A/R duties such as cash receipts and bank reconciliations

Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare and record journal entries and cost allocations, and perform other required accounting functions and analysis

Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial analysis to compare actuals to budget

Assist with corporate month-end internal reporting and prepare monthly reporting packages for Head Office

Assist with external audits by preparing working papers and providing supporting documentation throughout the audit process

Provide ongoing accounting and finance support to project teams

Assist the Head Office accounting department with other projects, as needed

This is the right role for you if:

You have at least 3 years of experience working in a corporate accounting or public accounting role

You possess strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

You are a well-organized, proactive and detail oriented individual able to self-manage and work as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

You are motivated and eager to take on new challenges that come your way

You have excellent communication skills

You have strong attention to detail and can offer process improvements and innovative solutions
