The Senior Analyst, Trust Accounting & Controls will report to the Manager, Trust Accounting & Controls and is responsible for ensuring accurate cash movement and internal controls for Mutual Fund Trust cash and GRS stock plan products.
Position Responsibilities- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations of varying complexity, using the General Ledger and Administration platforms.
- Execute monthly dividend and asset reconciliations for Stock Plans, utilizing MPS and custody platforms.
- Apply accounting and internal control processes during the monitoring and clearing of suspense accounts, identifying and resolving issues.
- Analyze daily outstanding items and resolve routine errors; elevate non‑routine errors to the manager.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support the correction process.
- Prepare and process detailed journal entries, providing backup information and analysis.
- Offer coverage support to other Trust Accounting Services team members as directed.
- Prepare funding for bank accounts to cover cash movement and investment allocation via the treasury management platform.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting or accounting firms.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with controls and reporting.
- Operational background or understanding of operational environments.
- Knowledge of Retail Wealth Management products (Mutual Funds, Segregated Funds) and admin systems (Lawson, IFast, MPS).
- Proactive, resourceful self‑starter mindset.
- Bilingualism in English and French (asset). For Quebec candidates, proficiency in both languages is required.
- Competitive salary range: $62,850.00‑$ CAD (plus incentive programs).
