Treasury Services Student

Position: Treasury Services Student - 4 Month Role
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Embark on a practical journey in accounting as a Treasury Services Student at the Region of Waterloo for four months. Engage directly in financial analysis to support Treasury operations.

In this role, you will assist with the reconciliation of sales and revenue, prepare journal entries, and verify transactions. This position will help you develop essential accounting skills while working closely with financial documentation and systems. You will primarily work on computers but may lift files occasionally, ensuring a diverse work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile monthly sales and revenue data

• Prepare annual journal entries and financial statements

• Analyze and verify accounting transactions monthly

• Generate investment schedules and cash flow projections

• Perform basic accounting functions as assigned

Requirements:

• Enrolled full-time in a related university or college program

• Understanding of basic financial accounting principles

• Strong problems solving and computer skills

• Effective communication for team interactions

• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks
