Position: Internal Auditor Needed in St. Thomas
Location: St. Thomas

Join the US Virgin Islands Department of Education as an Internal Auditor based in St. Thomas. This full-time role involves conducting operational, financial, and compliance audits to ensure fiscal accountability.

You will work within the VI Department of Education’s Office of Internal Audit.

Your role will involve significant independence with responsibilities including preparing audit working papers and reporting findings to the Chief Internal Auditor. Collaborating with the audit team, you will recommend solutions for improvements and engage with various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct operational and compliance audits of fiscal records

• Prepare detailed audit working papers for findings

• Report findings and suggest management solutions

• Participate in meetings with audited organizations

• Support planning of assigned audit segments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

• Minimum five years of related experience

• Knowledge of auditing principles and government regulations

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Effective communication skills in English
