RECO Auditor - Compliance and Financial Review

Become an Auditor with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and play a key role in maintaining compliance within the real estate sector. This hybrid position offers professionals a chance to impact consumer protection through strategic audits.

Joining RECO's Audit & Inspection team means engaging in financial and compliance audits as part of five immediate openings. You will assess compliance, conduct risk-based reviews, and evaluate internal controls under TRESA. Important skills include analytical thinking and effective communication, essential for ensuring the integrity of real estate practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform special and follow-up audits of registrants

• Analyze brokerage financial and operational records

• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards

• Review trust account financial accuracy

• Highlight potential control weaknesses and irregularities

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years in auditing or regulatory roles

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CPA designation or progressing towards it

• Experience in real estate brokerage operations is beneficial

• Ability to ensure integrity and ethics in work
