Tax Analyst

We are looking for a tax analyst to join our team. VetCPA is a full-service accounting firm that exclusively caters to Canada’s veterinary community. We work with our clients to fine-tune their tax planning and make compliance as smooth and painless as possible.

We are looking for someone who loves being a tax professional to:

Prepare T1s, T2s, T3s, T4s, T5s, T2057, T2054s, GST
44s, and other tax filings;

Prepare compiled financial statements;

Draft and review tax planning memos; and

Respond to CRA requests.

Qualities:

You are highly passionate, organized, and an excellent communicator;

You are inherently curious and want to continue to develop your tax expertise;

You’re happy to dive into complex tax problems;

You’ll roll up your sleeves to do what it takes to help your clients succeed and grow;

You are interested in completing CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program or Waterloo’s MTax;

You are an Excel guru; and

You are comfortable that nothing is below your pay grade if your client needs help and is happy to pay for it, you do it.

Nice to have:

You’re familiar with Google’s suite of products, specifically GSheets;

You know your way around Zoom, Xero, Dropbox, and Hubdoc; and

You have a working knowledge of mainstream insurance products.

This role is remote. Our office is in London, Ontario but the team works from their homes. We have clients we’ve never met in person, all across Canada.

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
