Full-Time Ward Clerk Position

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join Extendicare as a Ward Clerk, where you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to residents while managing important clerical duties. This full-time position focuses on communication and support within our care teams.

In this role, your primary tasks will revolve around maintaining resident information and assisting with essential scheduling and communication duties. As a Ward Clerk, you will be instrumental in fostering a welcoming environment for visitors and ensuring smooth operational flow by maintaining accurate documentation and facilitating timely responses to staff requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage telephone inquiries and relay messages effectively

• Facilitate resident admissions and record updates

• Assist with the nursing schedule under supervision

• Perform diverse clerical duties as assigned

• Coordinate transportation arrangements for residents

Requirements:

• Basic clerical/administrative skills are essential

• Preferred Health Care Aide certification

• Solid organizational and communication abilities

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

• Capability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
