Location: East Hanningfield Primary School, The Tye, Chelmsford, CM3 8AE
and St Peters Church of England Primary School, Church Road, West Hanningfield, Chelmsford, CM2 8UQ

Operational

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 7:30 am – 8:30 am & 3 pm – 6 pm

Pay: £12.21

Contract: Casual

Requirements: Must provide two references (one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting if applicable). DBS check required. Must comply with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute structured activities that encourage participation, such as multi‑sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more (age‑appropriate).
  • Follow all Health and Safety protocols, including sign‑in and sign‑out processes.
  • Provide refreshments for the children.
  • Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care.
  • Ensure all activities are age and skill‑appropriate while prioritizing safety, including proper use of equipment and space.
  • Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain Health and Safety documentation, including accident and incident forms.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, parents, children, and schools.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
  • Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all child‑related information.
  • Inspire team members and children to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
