ABOUT

THE ROLE
Terra Corp Management, located in London, Ontario, is looking for a  Capital Projects Coordinator  to be responsible for problem-solving and developing innovative solutions to complete projects efficiently. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of construction practices and building systems.

As the Capital Projects Coordinator you will:
Develop and implement a Building Inspection Program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
Managing calendars, meetings, and schedules for projects and events, both internal and external
Conduct and document regular inspections
Professional correspondence to City officials, planners, and consultants
Oversee and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
Obtain and negotiate quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers
Manage contractor and vendor relationships
Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, schedules, expenditures, and purchases
Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
Capex project and staff management
Special project sourcing/purchasing
General Knowledge of project planning and development of the construction plan
Project organization, staffing and scheduling
Prepare contracts, invoices, statements, and purchase orders

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in construction technology or relevant field required
Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Working knowledge of procurement and contracts
Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
3+ years experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation
Strong communication skills
Proficiency with various computer software programs including all Microsoft Suite applications
Detailed planning and organizational skills
Problem solving analysis
Teamwork

Salary range for this position is  $50,000.00 - $60,000.00  per year. We offer the following benefits:
