Our successful candidate will work closely with site supervision, field staff, subcontractors, and management to help promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all projects.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular site inspections and audits of work activities, equipment, and jobsite conditions
Identify unsafe conditions, safety concerns, near misses, and incidents, and assist with corrective actions
Work collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors to ensure company safety expectations and procedures are followed
Assist with incident investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions
Participate in site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
Build positive working relationships with field staff, supervisors, and trade partners
Support ongoing safety initiatives and help promote safe work practices on site
Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
Travel between multiple job sites throughout the day as required
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is considered an asset
1–3 years of construction safety experience preferred
Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and construction safety regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships on site
Confident, approachable, and comfortable working with field teams and subcontractors
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while also contributing within a team environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Expected Base Compensation: $65,
