The OpportunityOur client is working in partnership with a leading UK house builders Group, Our client is wanted to hire Quantity Surveyor into their growing Special Projects team based in Brentwood. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering critical fire safety and remediation projects across residential developments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially successful while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all project costs, ensuring value for money and margin optimisation
- Leading procurement activities and subcontractor management
- Preparing and managing CVRs, cash flows, and cost reporting
- Administering contracts, including variations and final accounts
- Supporting tendering processes and cost planning
- Liaising with internal teams across construction, development, and design
- Providing commercial input on remediation and building safety works
Our Client is looking for a commercially astute and driven Quantity Surveyor with:
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Construction, or relevant experience
- Proven experience within residential, FM, or cladding/remediation projects
- Strong understanding of cost control, contract administration, and procurement
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Desirable:
- Experience with Building Safety Act / remediation works
- Familiarity with COINS software
