Quantity Surveyor Brentwood, Essex (with site travel)

The Opportunity

Our client is working in partnership with a leading UK house builders Group, Our client is wanted to hire Quantity Surveyor into their growing Special Projects team based in Brentwood. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering critical fire safety and remediation projects across residential developments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially successful while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

The Role
  • Managing all project costs, ensuring value for money and margin optimisation
  • Leading procurement activities and subcontractor management
  • Preparing and managing CVRs, cash flows, and cost reporting
  • Administering contracts, including variations and final accounts
  • Supporting tendering processes and cost planning
  • Liaising with internal teams across construction, development, and design
  • Providing commercial input on remediation and building safety works
About You

Our Client is looking for a commercially astute and driven Quantity Surveyor with:

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Construction, or relevant experience
  • Proven experience within residential, FM, or cladding/remediation projects
  • Strong understanding of cost control, contract administration, and procurement
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Desirable:

  • Experience with Building Safety Act / remediation works
  • Familiarity with COINS software
