Construction Safety Consultants to join our teamas Specialist. This is asalariedcontract position,offering an exciting opportunity to support clientsin the fieldsofconstructionand operations safety, with potential toconvert to permanent status.
As aConstruction Safety Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisorto our clients and providesupportingall aspects of health and safetyforconstruction projects and complex operational facilities.
You’llpromotecompliance with client OHS requirements;anticipate and guideriskmanagement processes to protect workers, the public, and operations; work closely with client teams and contractors to support projects;andadviseon risk trends and improvement plans.

- Starting
Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 (Specialist) per annum

What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing guidance and expert adviceon health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Acting as a key advisor to project teams,anticipatingandidentifyinghazards and appropriate protective measures.
- Providing health and safety input to design, planning,constructability and/or operabilityreviews.
- Managing and reducing risks to workers and the public within a liveand complex operating client site.
- Undertaking health and safety assurance audits
- Performing and documenting regular site safety inspections,andfacilitatingtimelycorrective actions
- Assisting with incident and accident investigations.
- Liaising withclientstaff and regulatory agencies,
- Preparing detailed professionalreportsand records.
What You Need for Success
- Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or certification in a construction trade with significant health andsafetyexperience.
- Fieldexperiencein construction or a high hazard operational environment (Minimum:Specialist – 5 years)
- CRSP, CSP, CHST, CIH or ROHdesignation.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario workplace health and safety laws.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital health and safety reporting tools (computers, tablets).
- Hands-on experience with field-level audits and inspections.
- Strong interpersonal,verbaland writtenycommunication skills.
- Initiative, ability to multitask, and strong expectation management skills.
- Strong work ethic and career-oriented mindset.
- Completion of practical training in key safe work practices(Working at Heights, WHMIS, Ontario 4/5 Steps, LOTO, Confined Spaces, etc.)
- Valid Class Gdriver’s license.
