The Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for one twelve‑month Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing May 1, 2026, and one or more twelve‑ or twenty‑four‑month Limited Term Appointments at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2026 or later. The position/s are subject to final budgetary approval.
ResponsibilitiesDuties primarily include undergraduate teaching, but may include graduate teaching. Applicants in all fields will be considered with preference given to candidates with expertise in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and/or econometrics.
QualificationsQualified candidates should hold a PhD in Economics or be close to completion (i.e., able to defend by July 1, 2027). Preference will be given to candidates who show evidence of a commitment to scholarship and excellence in teaching.

CompensationThe salary range for this position is $89,919 – $125,000 p.a.
About the InstitutionThe Lazaridis School of Business & Economics has over 150 full‑time faculty and more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The Economics Department is located on the Waterloo campus, and as of July 2025 consists of 26 tenured‑ or tenure‑track faculty.
