Permanent Student Assistant at Goulds Elementary

Become a critical resource at Goulds Elementary as a Permanent Student Assistant, working 5 hours daily. Support K-12 students with personal care, mobility, and engagement in school activities.

In this role, the Student Assistant works alongside teachers to enhance student independence and participation in all school events, including field trips. Your responsibilities include implementing safety procedures and maintaining confidentiality regarding student information. Training or experience in childcare and behavior management is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and mobility support for students

• Facilitate active participation in school life and events

• Follow emergency protocols and school procedures

• Maintain confidentiality of student details

• Assist in implementing behavior management techniques

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience with children in work or volunteer settings

• Preferred training in Early Childhood Education or related fields

• First Aid and Crisis Intervention training are assets

• Police Records Check required for candidacy
