Casual Educational Assistant

Support students' needs as a Casual Educational Assistant within the London District Catholic School Board. This flexible role focuses on addressing physical, behavioral, and academic challenges in an inclusive environment.

In this casual position, you will report to the Principal and provide critical support to students in London, Middlesex, and Oxford counties. Successful candidates will be added to the “call out list” and contacted based on operational needs.

Your role plays an essential part in ensuring a positive educational experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with their daily physical and academic needs

• Adapt to a variety of educational programs and settings

• Utilize specialized equipment for student support

• Implement behavior support strategies effectively

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the values of Catholic education

Requirements:

• Relevant diploma in Child and Youth Care or Educational Support

• Experience with behavioral support and special education

• Current BMS, First Aid, and CPR training preferred

• Ability to handle lifting and toileting procedures

• Understanding of Ministry of Education curriculum
