As a licensed 3rd Class Operating Engineer, your expertise will ensure that plant operations are environmentally responsible and economical. You’ll supervise staff and contractors while operating and maintaining plant equipment, including boilers and water treatment systems. This role focuses on ensuring a dependable energy delivery to St. Joseph’s Hospital, emphasizing safety practices and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee plant operations during 12-hour shifts

• Maintain and operate boilers and DCS systems

• Conduct regular equipment checks and monitoring

• Support cleaning and maintenance activities

• Approve safe work permits for contractors

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Operating Engineer 3rd Class certificate

• Strong knowledge of energy production and distribution

• Previous maintenance experience preferred

• Proficient in computerized plant systems

• Valid driver’s license in good standing
