Responsibilities
Project Design and Coordination
Contribute to a variety of multi-disciplinary water/wastewater projects including infrastructure conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design, technical memorandums, design reports, plans, approvals, contract administration, and site inspectionsPrepare engineered drawings in both 3D (Revit) and 2D (AutoCAD) related to water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, piping, etc.Perform assessments, design calculations, data collection, and data analysis to support engineering activitiesParticipate in the creation of contract drawings, contract specifications, and tender packagesLiaise with equipment suppliers and vendors for equipment selectionContribute to the business development activities including the co-ordination and preparation of proposals, presentations, and client liaisons. Tasks can include gathering information from engineering disciplines, developing fees, schedules, work plans, and organizational chartsContribute with design team activities, coordinate with project team members including engineers and technical support staff, and ongoing support to project managers and client relationship managersLiaise with public and private sector clients, vendors, government review and approval agencies, sub-consultants, and subcontractorsLiaise with multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, municipal and structural engineers, transportation systems planners, planners, environmental scientists and technical support staffLearning and Development

Strong personal skills and self-drivenA firm understanding of Revit software, 3D design, piping and equipment layoutsA post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate related to computer aided design and draftingReliable access to a personal vehicle1-3 years of relevant work experience in the consulting industry preferredExperience
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment equipment/facilities, pumping stations, and community infrastructureRelated experience in range of design activities including preparation of functional and detailed design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, construction administration and commissioning is preferredAbility to work in multidisciplinary team, client and industry relationships, and regulatory agency consultationDemonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork, coordination and communicationExperience in BIM

$53,300 - $80,100
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant’s gender or other status protected by provincial and/or federal law.
