Lead innovation in trailer design as a Mechanical Design Engineer. This on-site role in Ontario focuses on developing grain trailers with a commitment to quality and compliance.

Bring your 5+ years of mechanical design experience in heavy transportation to a company renowned for its specialized trailers. You’ll manage the entire design process, ensuring production-ready solutions through effective collaboration with production while adhering to industry safety standards.

Your role will also involve mentoring junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design development of grain and specialty trailers

• Create detailed 3D CAD models in Onshape

• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations

• Collaborate to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs

• Mentor junior team members in design practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years mechanical design experience required

• Proficient in Onshape or similar CAD software

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes

• Experience with GD&T and assembly principles

• Post-secondary education in a related field
