Position: City Water & Sewer Operations Specialist
Location: St. Thomas

Become a City Water and Sewer Operations Specialist with the City of St. Thomas. This permanent, full-time position involves the management and operation of water and sewer infrastructures to meet community needs.

In this role, you will work under the Supervisor of Water and Wastewater with technical oversight from the Water and Sewer Lead Hand. A strong background in water distribution and wastewater systems, along with required MECP certifications, is essential. Your work will significantly impact the environment and public safety as you ensure compliance with various regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and repair water distribution and sewer systems

• Conduct quality testing and inspections regularly

• Utilize specialized operations equipment responsibly

• Complete required safety and compliance documentation

• Provide exceptional service to residents’ inquiries

Requirements:

• Minimum Class I MECP Certifications

• Three years of municipal system experience

• Valid ‘G’ and ‘DZ’ Ontario Driver’s Licences

• Experience with heavy equipment is beneficial

• Strong understanding of regulatory legislation
