Position: Coach and Accompanist for Music Students
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join Laurier as a Coach and Accompanist, focusing on wind and brass instruments. Help students develop their skills through personalized coaching and collaborative performances.

In this role, you will provide one-on-one coaching for music students, specializing in piano accompaniment for winds and brass. The ideal candidate will possess a background in orchestral and ensemble performance, and actively participate in student recitals and auditions. Experience is essential, as you work alongside studio instructors to create a nurturing environment for aspiring musicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead coaching sessions for students in studio classes

• Accompany during student recitals and masterclasses

• Engage in auditions and juries as part of the selection process

• Support special events arranged throughout the academic year

• Fulfill additional contractual obligations as specified in the Collective Agreement

Requirements:

• MMus or BMus and/or Licentiate or Artist Diploma

• Minimum 3 years experience accompanying at the PSE level

• Established regional, national, or international presence

• Strong collaborative piano skills with focus on winds and brass

• Comprehensive repertoire and teaching evaluation background
