Position: Lab Electronics Technician for IQC
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Become a key contributor at the Institute for Quantum Computing as a Lab Electronics Technician. Collaborate with top researchers to support innovative prototype development and electronics maintenance.

In this role, you will provide essential technical support within the Technology Services team. Your work will involve the construction and troubleshooting of electronics for pioneering research projects, alongside drafting operating procedures to ensure safety and functionality within the lab. This position is perfect for those passionate about advancing quantum technologies and eager to engage in hands-on prototype fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist researchers with design and assembly of prototypes

• Conduct tests on analog and digital research instruments

• Document results and flag issues for senior staff

• Update Standard Operating Procedures for equipment

• Oversee inventory and perform safety inspections

Requirements:

• 2-year Electronics Engineering/Technology diploma required

• 1 year of relevant experience in electronics

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Knowledgeable in PCB work and hardware design

• Ability to perform safety checks and documentation
