Chemco seeks an experienced estimator to support its electrical and instrumentation division. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in electrical fields and relevant education or extensive experience as an industrial electrical journeyman. Strong abilities in reading construction drawings and familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code are essential for candidate success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with lead estimators on project proposals
• Conduct electrical takeoff from drawings
• Assist in creating project schedules and execution plans
• Estimate material costs and engage vendors
• Track time on estimates for reporting
Requirements:
• 5+ years of electrical field experience required
• Relevant degree or 10+ years as a journeyman
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Strong hands-on installation background
• Knowledge of instrumentation estimating is a plus
