Take on the role of Mass Properties Specialist at GDLS-C, overseeing Space, Weight, and Power (SWaP) data to drive system-level accuracy. Your leadership will optimize subsystem allocations.
As a Mass Properties Engineer, you will ensure the consistency of SWaP data by developing critical databases and managing timely updates. Your responsibilities will include creating weight targets, monitoring SWaP trends, and supporting the development of training tools for personnel. You'll also perform engineering calculations crucial to meeting performance requirements while ensuring compliance with military and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and track vehicle weight and power budgets
• Analyze transportability data against standards
• Support SWaP control processes and improvements
• Perform engineering calculations for allocations
• Develop technical artifacts for design milestones
Requirements:
• Related university degree or college diploma
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Effective communication abilities
• Willingness to travel and comply with size restrictions
