As a Senior Mechanical Designer, your five-plus years of expertise in heavy transportation mechanical design will shine. You will utilize your proficiency with Onshape to create high-quality designs and engineering drawings for trailers. Collaborate with production to optimize designs for manufacturability and lead a team of developing engineers while ensuring the standards of engineering excellence are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design of trailers from concept through production-ready release

• Maintain a standardized library of CAD models and drawings

• Collaborate with production teams for design improvements

• Conduct hands-on testing and prototyping for validation

• Educate junior engineers on design best practices

Requirements:

• 5+ years mechanical design experience in relevant fields

• Strong knowledge of structural design and manufacturing processes

• Experience with GD&T and assembly intuition

• Ability to manage multiple projects collaboratively

• Relevant post-secondary education in mechanical engineering
