Hybrid Water Resources Project Specialist

Elevate your career as a Water Resources Project Specialist with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, featuring a hybrid work model. Apply your expertise in flood risk management tools to contribute positively to our watershed.

This position is a one-year contract, offering the possibility of extension, focused on flood risk mapping and hydraulics. The ideal candidate will bring experience in hydraulic and hydrologic models, assisting with climate change projects, and supporting the UTRCA’s Flood Forecasting System. You'll engage with various stakeholders, enhancing your communication and critical thinking skills as part of a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining flood risk management tools

• Support flood risk mapping and natural hazard regulations

• Contribute to climate change adaptation projects

• Provide technical support within Water & Information Management Unit

• Document project work clearly and effectively

Requirements:

• University degree in engineering, civil or water resources

• Experience with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools

• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS)

• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement

• P.Eng. designation or eligibility preferred
