In partnership with Metrolinx, ACCIONA is playing a key role in the design and construction of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), a 9.2-kilometre westward addition to Toronto’s Line 5 light rail transit network. This major infrastructure project includes seven new stations and installation of rail and systems under a progressive design-build model.
Beyond its technical scope, the ECWE project represents a significant investment in sustainable urban mobility, expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 5,800 tonnes annually and eliminate over 6.5 million vehicle trips each year when combined with the full Line 5.

The CAD Technician is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for subway infrastructure projects using Revit and Civil 3D. The role focuses on translating engineering design and survey information into detailed digital models that support design development, documentation, and project delivery.
The CAD Technician will produce models for both civil infrastructure (alignments, corridors, and site works) and station-related building components, ensuring all models and drawings comply with established BIM standards and project requirements.

*** Develop and maintain
** 3D BIM models and 2D drawings
** for civil infrastructure and station components using
** Revit and Civil 3D**.
* Produce detailed drawings including
** alignments, station layouts, cross sections, profiles, and topographical representations
** based on engineering design and survey information.
* Generate
** model-based quantities and data extraction
** from BIM models to support project estimation and reporting requirements.
* Translate engineering designs, sketches, and survey information into
** accurate BIM models and documentation**.
* Maintain model and drawing revisions to ensure they reflect the
** latest design updates and survey data**.
* Import and manage project information within the BIM environment, including
** survey surfaces, alignment data, and other geospatial datasets
** where applicable.
* Maintain an organized
** digital file structure within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
** to ensure proper version control and document accessibility.
