Engineering Technician

Position: Engineering Technician at Compass Minerals

This role places you at the heart of our Engineering Department, where you will effectively support ground control activities and planning processes. Positioned in Goderich, recognized as Canada’s Prettiest Town, you will leverage your technical expertise in mining systems. Responsibilities include conducting ventilation surveys, total station surveys, and updating mine plans using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly mine ventilation and advance surveys

• Ensure development is on course with total station surveys

• Maintain engineering drawings and documents

• Complete scheduled ground control measurements

• Collaborate with mine operations for instrumentation installation

Requirements:

• Mine Engineering Technologist or Technician qualification

• 3–5 years of mining experience preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

• Experience with CMMS systems

• Must relocate to Goderich area
