Battery Simulation Engineer in Automotive

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join an innovative team as a Battery Simulation Engineer, supporting the automotive industry. This role focuses on developing and validating battery models while requiring travel to the USA.

We are looking for an experienced engineer to enhance high-performance battery systems across multiple applications. You will be involved in modeling, validation, and optimization of electrical and thermal performance of lithium-ion battery systems. Your expertise in simulation tools, data analysis, and collaborative environment will ensure reliable battery solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate models for battery systems

• Support integration of safe and reliable battery solutions

• Analyze test data and improve model robustness

• Conduct simulations evaluating battery performance under various conditions

• Prepare technical documentation summarizing findings

Requirements:

• Master's degree in relevant engineering fields

• 2+ years of simulation experience

• Proficiency in GT-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar

• Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery fundamentals

• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
