Mechanical Valve Design Engineer Ontario

Nord Space seeks a Mechanical Valve Design Engineer in Ontario to innovate aerospace valve systems. Engage in robust design and testing processes and elevate space projects.

This full-time role welcomes engineers with a background in fluid dynamics and mechanical design. With at least four years of experience, you'll oversee the design and optimization of vital fluid control components. Collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams will be key to ensuring designs meet extensive performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead component design and develop comprehensive P&IDs

• Create engineering documentation and manage BOMs

• Coordinate efforts with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

• Supervise fabrication and testing of designs

• Conduct design reviews and participate in improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

• 4+ years in fluid/gas control design

• Demonstrated CAD proficiency with tools like Siemens NX

• Experience in R&D testing and technical report writing

• Familiar with GD&T and relevant industry standards
