Join the University of Waterloo as a Biomedical Engineering Lab Technician and Safety Coordinator. This full-time role focuses on lab operations, safety compliance, and research lab management in a vibrant academic environment.
As part of the Faculty of Engineering, you will work closely with the Lab Director to support biomedical tissue and cell research labs. This role actively involves creating standard operating procedures, maintaining research equipment, and ensuring safety across all department labs. Additionally, you'll guide students while managing lab operations, storing chemicals, ordering supplies, and scheduling equipment effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate biomedical engineering research facility operations
• Liaise with vendors for lab equipment procurement
• Implement safety policies and ensure compliance
• Conduct regular lab inspections and assessments
• Provide guidance to students on experiments
Requirements:
• Experience in lab management or technical oversight
