Senior Protection & Control Engineer Position

Wataynikaneyap Power, part of Fortis Ontario, is seeking a seasoned Protection & Control Specialist. You will apply your 7-10 years of expertise to enhance the reliability and safety of the transmission system. This role requires a commitment to community collaboration and respect for Indigenous values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure operational efficiency of the transmission network
• Provide technical guidance on SCADA and protective systems
• Foster strong community ties through collaboration
• Maintain adherence to safety and operational regulations
• Contribute to the planning and design of new infrastructure
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering with P.Eng. eligibility
• Extensive experience in electrical utility environments
• Strong knowledge of transmission operations and protocols
• Proficiency in problem-solving and communication
• Current Ontario Class G driver's license
