BBA’s seeking an intermediate process control engineer to join our new Thunder Bay office or existing Sudbury office to support our continued growth in Central Canada. You’ll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, from front-end studies to field implementation, with a focus on detailed engineering. As a member of the Automation, Instrumentation and Control System engineering team in Central Canada, you’ll be responsible for technical quality, project scope execution and regional collaboration with other technical experts.

• Develop engineering work packages for major process control systems in mining and energy projects
• Execute instrumentation, automation and control scopes while supporting budgets, schedules and project delivery
• Lead development of engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, specifications, schematic drawings, network systems and panel designs
• Design, integrate, program and commission PLC, HMI, DCS and industrial communication systems
• Build strong client relationships and provide technical direction and mentorship to junior team members
• Contribute to BBA initiatives and foster a positive culture in the Thunder Bay office while delivering high-quality work

• University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Over 4 years of mining or energy engineering experience (consulting preferred)
• Registered P.Eng. in Ontario, Canada
• Experience with process control design, programming, integration and commissioning
• Knowledge of P&IDs, industrial control systems/networks and engineering design requirements
• Strong communication, organization and technical leadership skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel for site work, inspections, commissioning and start-ups

• Annual base salary from $90,000 to $140,000
