Draft electrical building systems at SBM’s London office while developing AutoCAD and Revit MEP experience through an eight month co-op. Support residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
This Electrical Designer Co-op/Intern assists SBM’s Electrical Engineering Department with design and drafting. You will produce permit and construction drawings, coordinate with project teams, and contribute to engineering analysis. The work includes independent assignments, group collaboration, and occasional site visits. It suits students enrolled in Electrical Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and draft electrical systems and components
- Produce drawings for permits and construction
- Coordinate with engineering and design disciplines
- Support construction issues with contractors
- Attend occasional site visits as required
- Currently enrolled in an eligible technology diploma
- Understand building system design fundamentals
- Use Microsoft Office and AutoCAD suites proficiently
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Access reliable transportation for Ontario travel
